Coyne Recruitment work with the leading and most reputable organisations across the Employability and Skills sector. We are currently looking to support a fantastic organisation to recruit for a skilled Bid Writer for our client.

This role is primarily responsible for developing and submitting high quality bids in response to commissioned tender opportunities in Education/Training and Employability.

The Senior Bid Manager role is crucial to our clients continued success through the management and execution of multiple bids across multiple commissioners. The role requires previous experience of coordinating bids within the Education & Skills arena.

The Senior Bid Writer will be required to fulfil different roles at different times including, but not limited to, bid response writing/editing, story boarding, bid coordination, workshop facilitation, coordination of internal stakeholders and evidence collection. They will have a good understanding of the awarding authority’s vision, strategy and plans in order to maximise the success of funding proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • To monitor/manage all public procurement portals and to produce weekly reports on the opportunities available to the business.
  • Manage the submission of applications, respond to clarifications, questions promptly
  • Support the construction, writing and editing of bids and proposals, to create award winning bids.
  • Provide end-to-end support throughout the bid life cycle, including proposal management and advice, presentation coaching and obtaining stakeholder feedback.
  • Responsibility for the quality of all aspects of the bid, including written documentation and presentations, ensuring that written work is clear, concise and compelling
  • Developing a strong and comprehensive tender library.
  • Work alongside a team of experts to develop strong, tailored responses.
  • Creating a tender calendar to pre-empt bid processes.
  • Both attending and leading meetings to provide updates on funding opportunities.
  • Working with the Head of Funding Strategy and Board of Directors through a bid/no-bid process.
  • Reviewing and amending the proposal document and collateral
  • Carry out internal pitch team debriefs and conduct Post Decision Reviews (PDRs) with the team.
  • Proactively seeking new methodologies, tools and innovations to deliver proposals in different ways.
