Business Development Manager

Coyne Recruitment work with employers of choice within the skills and employability sector. We are currently looking to support a fantastic AEB and apprenticeship provider in adding to their team. This role requires an outstanding Business Development Manager who has relevant up to date exposure and experience of working with learner in their place of work.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will make outbound calls to engage employers and individuals in specific sectors, identifying training needs, following up with supporting information and receiving expressions of interest.
  • Contact prospective customers, promoting our recruitment, training and development solutions through engaging and securing new business.
  • Work in a 360 capacity by cold calling, acquiring, and closing your own sales opportunities.
  • Actively use Social Media platforms (Linked In, Facebook, Twitter etc) to promote our services and to secure new business.
  • Working alongside the Recruitment team to successfully match apprentices and traineeship with client roles
  • Responsible for generating a strong sales pipeline using your own initiative.
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales journey
  • Meet essential sales targets, involving KPI’s such as number of daily calls etc.
  • To accurately update CRM system daily by completing all customer details and sales information to the required B-Skill standard.
  • Attend on-going training and coaching sessions.

  • To undertake any other duties (training offered where applicable) in line with business needs.

The post holder may be required to undertake other such responsibilities as are reasonably commensurate with the status of this post.


  • IAG Level 3 or above
  • Knowledge of Adult Education Budget or equivalent funding stream
  • Understanding of the apprenticeship sector
  • Previous experience in identifying and developing relationships with employers
  • Experienced in engaging with hard-to-reach learners
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet business needs
  • IT Literate
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software or equivalent
  • Full, clean driving licence
