Curriculum Lead – Homebased

Coyne Recruitment work with employers of choice within the skills sector. We are currently looking to support a fantastic apprenticeship provider in adding to their Quality / Curriculum team. This role requires an outstanding Curriculum Lead who has relevant up to date exposure and experience of developing and designing apprenticeship resources.

Job Description

Apprenticeship Curriculum Lead (50% reduced caseload)

  • Support Skills Coaches, Trainers and IQA’s in the curriculum and resource development of the Standard

Job Role:

  • To be the first point of contact and find resolution for the team
  • To work with Compliance Manager to support the development and competencies of Standards on e-track
  • Contribute to decisions regarding prior learning (reduced funding) for Standard and stretch and challenge plans
    • In conjunction with other members of the team develop and update Skills Scans and OTJ plan
    • To keep the team motivated and organised
    • Work with the TLs and Delivery Manager to monitor KPI’s and regularly review them to maintain standards
    • To provide feedback, training and coaching to the team
    • Responsible for ongoing training and development on the Standard
    • To meet personal KPI’s in order that the business to meet its targets
    • Guiding and supporting Skills Coaches and Trainers to ensure quality and consistency of assessment and teaching practice
    • Contribute to coordinating EPA Readiness
    • Monitoring and developing the quality of curriculum resource (Intent, Implementation and Impact)
    • Develop relationships with EPAOs
    • Contribute to the planning and development of standardisation days
    • Follow the guidance issued by both the Awarding Body and The Institute of Apprenticeships with regard to assessment practice and the completion of documentation
    • Full compliance with Quality Assurance systems to ensure consistency and continuous improvement, liaising with appropriate staff to ensure that systems in support of assessment, verification and additional support are fully implemented.
    • Deliver staff development appropriate to the contractual requirements of the post and the needs of the apprenticeship team
    • Contribute to desktop based reviews and OTJ audit compliance
    • Conduct OTLA’s for the Standard in line with guidance from the Quality team
    • Ensure that schemes of work are used to ensure a well-planned learner journey
    • Work towards gaining the judgment of outstanding in all areas
    • Induction of new Skills Coaches and internal quality assurance of staff as required
  • Requirement to attend Head Office curriculum meetings
  • Qualifications and Experience

    • Relevant curriculum design experience
    • Assessors and/or Teaching qualification
    • IQA Award – Desirable
