Job Role

The Employment Advisor (EA) is a pivotal role in supporting our participants who have been out of work for at least 12 months, to find sustainable employment. The EA will be integral in understanding and supporting participants needs to support a swift return to the labour market. This will include close working and liaison with multiple internal and external stakeholders, to provide tailored support to each participant.


  • Building effective and positive relationships with participants, working collaboratively and challenging them to identify and overcome any potential barriers preventing them from returning to work.
  • Conducting a diagnostics assessment with all referred participants to assess job readiness and the appropriate level of support required on the customer journey throughout time on programme.
  • Partnering with the participant to create a comprehensive action plan to identify appropriate career opportunities, identify any employment related barriers and the actions required to progress towards sustainable employment.
    1. Providing Information, Advice & Guidance to all participants to support them with their journey into employment.
    2. Ensure achievement against service delivery KPIs, targets and outcomes.
    3. Engaging participants referred to the Restart Programme, completing detailed SMART action plans to progress each client.
    4. Ensure real time updating of the database system to ensure quality interventions are recorded effectively.
    5. Brokering and sustaining excellent working relationships with Key local stakeholders to support Participant
    6. Undertake in-work support activities to ensure an individual is able to maintain their employment,
    7. Independent, effective caseload management through organising and coordinating a varied timetable of activities
    8. Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of the local labour market,
    9. Knowledge of the benefit system and entitlements.
    10. Provide a quality service which meets contractual requirements
  • To maintain quality client records on the database so that they outline the client’s journey on the programme.
    1. Ensuring that all required entry to the B2W database is accurate and contractually compliant and documentation relating to the participant is completed and maintained in an accurate, compliant, timely and respectful manner.
