The Role

As a Health Professional you are responsible for supporting customers on our clients employability programmes to improve their health and wellbeing, so that they can move into, or closer, to the right job. Through our clients unique combination of employment and health support, you will help customers to manage their health conditions, grow in confidence and improve their wellbeing.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct health and wellbeing assessments to identify an individually tailored package of support for customers who have physical or mental health needs
  • Deliver health and wellbeing support on a one-to-one and small group basis
  • Develop partnerships with local health services
  • Signpost customers to appropriate external support
  • Liaise with other parties supporting the customer to ensure integrated support



Essential Attainments

  • In the case of experienced hires full registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC) or BACP (British Association of Counselling Psychotherapists) or NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) is required. Recent graduates are required to provide evidence of their registration application reference number.
  • A relevant clinical degree or postgraduate qualification in occupational therapy, clinical psychology, or counselling psychology or related or equivalent qualification

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant postgraduate clinical experience (or in the case of recent graduates relevant placements) in a community and/or mental health setting including coaching, CBT and group work.
  • Experience of working in a commercial target driven environment.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Direct previous experience of a similar role. Roles considered to be similar include the role of Occupational Therapist or Clinical Psychologist on a welfare to work contract or a publicly funded service.
  • Autonomous practitioner with excellent personal organisational skills for caseload management, including time management and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge and application of principles of clinical governance and risk management
  • Technical skills including; the ability to use technology to deliver results and knowledge of welfare/benefits system.
