We are searching for an experienced Head AEB, Contracts and Partnerships. You will have a demonstratable background in the Education and Skills sector, with specific knowledge of AEB, ESFA and ESF funding streams. The ability to drive process improvement, performance, people culture, management, quality and stakeholder relationships is key, whilst leading from the from the front to achieve high standards and growth

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Lead the contract management, execution, achievement and growth of AEB, ESFA and ESF procured contracts, both direct and subcontracted.
  • Manage and develop a high performing team – empower and motivate a national team and take ownership of performance, celebrate success and support the development of new/existing external stakeholder relationships (JCP/Third Sector)
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage the day to day activities across all funding streams ensuring quality and compliance KPIs are exceeded, inline with ESFA funding rules and requirements
  • Develop reporting, performance indicators and design/improve and embed operational and performance processes
  • Represent the business to commissioners, employers and educational organisations
  • Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and be responsible for the performance management of AEB, ESFA and ESF direct and subcontracted provision. To include programme support, guidance, performance, quality, audit and compliance
  • Lead on the overall contract performance – ensuring growth is achieved inline with budget and contract growth cycles
  • Ensure that contracts and programmes are operated profitability to achieve volume and financial targets
  • Provide strong leadership, support and guidance to ensure that staff are enthusiastic, have high expectations that are aligned to Company values
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive, collaborative, and effective ways of working.
  • Provide regular business reports
  • Identify current and emerging trends, inline with LIS/LEP priorities to support the developments of Organisations portfolio
  • Develop strong working relationships with funding agencies, regional / national networks to promote Company and its offer
  • Support annual strategy development and operational planning
  • Set and manage performance management annual objectives for the team to develop highly motivated and capable teams
  • Responsible for managing attendance /absence records, including return to work process and submitting to HR
  • Carry out any other duties as requested
  • PERSON SPECIFICATION

    Education

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience

  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience in Business development and Stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of Leading and developing multifaceted and multinational teams
  • Knowledge of Adult Education Budget and/or ESFA/ESF
  • Financial acumen
  • Skills

  • Strong people management and influencing capabilities, with the ability to lead and coach teams
  • Results driven, with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines
  • Methodical and organised, able to work to systems, process and structure including Microsoft office
  • The ability to communicate well with internal and external customers, both written and oral
  • Solutions focussed approach to problem solving
