We are proud to support these organisations who are playing a vital role helping the UK recover from Covid-19. We are currently looking to support a fantastic organisation recruit for a newly created position as Head of Data & Collection.


The organisation is going through a period of transformation; changing the way they do things so that learners benefit even more from products and services that are developed in conjunction with industry and that form part of an essential journey to success.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in understanding the Individual Learner Record and the management information systems that are used to collect and report on data pertaining to learners.  You will understand the limitations, challenges and gaps in the data collated and shared with Awarding Organisations and be able to specify what this business needs and how and when they are going to collect it.


This role requires an individual who can share their passion for using data to make a difference, by developing and implementing a management information strategy which will demonstrate how data can directly improve learner progress and prospects.  You must be able to take your knowledge and experience of provider data and apply it to an Awarding Organisation, ensuring that providers are supported throughout the process and understand and benefit from the decisions and actions that we take.

  • Develop and implement a learner and provider data management strategy, taking into account multiple source systems and interdependencies.
  • Work with the Head of Data and Analytics and Data and Integrations Architect to establish the architecture for provider data.
  • Accountable for understanding the Individual Learner Record and associated data and how providers manage it through their systems and reporting.
  • Identify limitations and gaps in provider and company data and specifying what is required and how it can be collected.
  • Accountable for the secure collation and interpretation of data associated with providers and learners and protocols for cleansing and verifying accuracy of provider and learner data.
  • Develop processes and systems which ease the burden for providers in the provision and supply of data.
  • Design and develop of a reporting structure, capturing requirements and signing off both regular and bespoke reports.
  • Accountable for analysing and conveying simple and complex information to colleagues at all levels.
  • Contribute to the development of teams across the business to improve standards in consistency, usability, and accuracy of management information.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a data governance framework, policies and procedures relating to data quality, including validation reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems.
  • Lead motivate and performance review of team.
  • Accountable for ensuring accessibility of provider data and reports to the business.
