We are currently working with a fantastic client who through continuous growth and contract expansion need to expand their senior management team. As the company evolves, they are looking to bring in a professional who can take charge of the strategy around Quality with real emphasis on learner journey.
The Head of Quality is responsible for fostering an ethos of high standards and continuous improvement across both organisations. A champion of high standards and excellence, this unique role has specific responsibility for leading quality assurance mechanisms across the whole organisation with a very clear focus on:
Developing and implementing rigorous and reliable quality assurance mechanisms, procedures, processes and documentation across all provision including AEB, Traineeship programmes and Apprenticeships.
To monitor the effective implementation of all quality assurance procedures and processes and to review the effectiveness of the quality assurance procedures, processed and documentation on an annual basis.
To work collaboratively with the Heads of to ensure that the outcomes of all quality assurance mechanisms are used to inform and support the improvement of teaching, learning and assessment.
Work with curriculum teams to set and deliver the highest standards to learners, apprentices and employers.
To strategically lead on all elements of activity with Awarding Bodies and End Point Assessment Organisations.
To act as the nominee for all Awarding Body centre approval, external verification and standards verification activity.
To act as a conduit for all quality kitemarks.
To liaise closely with Ofsted and work in partnership with the Managing Director in respect to conducting Ofsted activity. Main duties, key tasks and responsibilities to:
Working with the Senior Management Team, the post holder will develop manage and ensure the consistent and rigorous implementation Best Practice and Leaders in Business quality assurance mechanisms.
The post holder will lead the Senior Management in the continuous review and development of policies and procedures relating to all areas of the business.
Work collaboratively with the Heads of to actively ensure that the outcomes of the quality assurance mechanisms inform teaching and learning improvement initiatives across Best Practice and Leaders in Business.
Lead the internal quality assurance function across the organisation, including the co-ordination of the team of Internal Quality Assurers.
Monitor, audit and quality assure all provision for compliance with the organisation, awarding body quality assurance systems and funding body requirements.
Strategically lead the gathering of external customer feedback aligned to the FE choices feedback mechanisms and calendar of activity.
Skills & Experience:
As the successful applicant, you will be a high calibre individual who can demonstrate a track record in Quality Management and leadership. Within the Skills, worked based learning and apprenticeship sector.
Educated to degree level and have a proven track record formed in the Skills industry where high levels of compliance and integrity are demanded.
Experience of working in our sector is essential in addition to developing and maintaining robust quality assurance in readiness for internal, 3rd party external and customer audits is highly relevant.
