Coyne Recruitment work with the UK’s leading skills providers. An exciting opportunity for a IT Technical Trainer/Coach to join an up and coming Digital apprenticeship training provider.

This person will ideally have a masters degree or equivalent and be able to deliver training up to level 6 if required. My client are particularly interested in dpeaking with people who are competent to deliver either Software Developer or Infrastructure Technican and Network Engineer.

Main Purpose of the Job

Responsible for delivering and continuously improving training programs; conducting starting point skills assessments, executing training, and developing and enhancing materials as required.

The role holder also will operate as a programme specialist in the structure and design of specific apprenticeship programmes. Be responsible for marking and providing constructive feedback on projects to the apprentice and portfolio of evidence in preparation for EPA.

Be an ambassador for the business and provide outstanding customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering and facilitating training, coaching and mentoring that encourages accelerated learning and results in new knowledge and skills applied into the workplace.
  • Coaching, supporting and mentoring all apprentices to ensure they have acquired the technical skills and knowledge to achieve the standard requirements through classroom, online and remote delivery training.
  • Monitoring and reviewing learner welfare on a regular basis, taking any necessary action to limit the number of early leavers from the programme.
  • Planning and Managing the teaching and mentoring to retain apprentices.
  • Managing and completing both business and personal administration within given timescales i.e. delegate satisfaction results, expenses, review documents, reports etc.
  • Upskilling learner’s knowledge regarding Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality of Opportunity rights and responsibilities.
  • Contributing to wider team projects and in particular, supporting the development of new programme curriculum.
  • Working with the employer to set projects for the apprentice
  • Marking of apprentice’s projects and providing constructive feedback
  • Manage apprentices so they enter gateway in a timely manor
  • Ensuring the apprentices are developing a portfolio of evidence in line with the EPAO requirements and assessment plans
  • Any other duties commensurate within the role.
  • PERSON PROFILE

    Knowledge/Experience

    Essential

    • Significant programme specific knowledge and experience in the subject field as advertised. (i.e Infrastructure, Data, Software etc).
  • Knowledge of Digital IT standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent and E&D.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship standards particularly digital and tech and work-based learning
  • Knowledge of the current Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
  • Good track record in being part of supporting apprentices to achieve merits/distinctions at EPA
