We are supporting a fantastic organisation recruiting for a Performance Manager to lead and motivate a team of employment advisers who will support unemployed jobseekers finding and sustaining employment, engage with employers and make local communities aware of the benefits of our clients service.

The Restart Programme gives individuals who have been out of work for at least 12 months enhanced support to find jobs in their local area. The programme is designed to break down any employability barriers that could be holding them back from finding work. Restart referrals will be made over a 3-year period and provides up to 12 months of tailored support for each participant. By working with employers, local government, and other partners we will deliver tailored support for individuals into gaining sustainable employment.

Your daily responsibilities would include:

  • To motivate, direct and manage a team of Employment Facilitators to meet and exceed their performance targets (contractual and financial) within the compliance, quality and health & safety standards required.
    • Implementing strategies aimed at upskilling your local community members and overcoming barriers to employment
    • Performance management, identifying skills gaps, mentoring and coaching staff
    • Adherence to Key performance indicators
    • Maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Managing Profit and Loss reports and monthly financial forecasting
  • To ensure there is a succession plan for each direct report, and that the team has sufficiently skilled and experienced resource to meet its targets.
  • To ensure that all direct reports have a learning and development plan, are coached, and supported to achieve their individual targets, and have the efficiency and motivation to exceed expectations.
  • Conduct quality audits by observation of team members over the phone or by video call and sample checking caseload data.
  • Responsible for health and safety of team members.
  • Responsible for ensuring team members’ productivity and activity is aligned to referral volumes and activity is co-ordinated in line with contract profiles, ensuring that correct resource is assigned.
  • To forecast and plan accurately, providing monthly forecasts, annual business plan, weekly figures and statistics and provide reports and feedback to the Contracts Manager relating to contractual performance as required.
  • Hold a full U.K. driving licence and has access to vehicle
  • Required Education and Experiences

  • Line Management experience of a team.
  • Demonstrable experience of being an effective leader, driving staff to achieve stretching targets.
  • Strong understanding of Welfare to Work and DWP Programmes.
  • Strong understanding of the Commissioner and relationship building.
  • Ability to produce detailed Management Information reports and analyse trends.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, specifically around listening, questioning, delegating, and building relationships.
  • Able to plan and organise people and carry out effective resource and succession planning.
  • Able to prioritise and problem solve with minimal support; work in a flexible manner; being visionary, promoting improvements and sharing best practice that supports business efficiency.
  • Qualified to at least Level 3 Diploma, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English Language and Maths.
