Skills Coach – Heavy Good Vehicles

Due to exciting new contract wins our client, A leading training provider of apprenticeship’s, is seeking a qualified tutors for Heavy Goods Skills Coach to deliver an effective and efficient training processes that enables learners to progress towards and achieve identified milestones in a timely manner.

The role holder will be responsible for providing support for learners in line with their individual needs, provide appropriate IAG and refer for additional support to ensure that individual learners continue to progress towards their objectives.

This role includes delivering training and assessment in groups of 8-10 in a group setting within the classroom. Working continuously to improve the Academy’s current and future training, including Levy and Non Levy apprenticeship programmes to ensure they meet the needs of our customers.

This role will be pivotal in ensuring that the company is competent to deliver excellent experiences and results to their customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all employers and learners are made aware of the requirements and their commitments for the Apprenticeship
  • Be aware of the Education Inspection Framework and ensure your planning and delivery is in line with expectations
  • Be a support mechanism for learners and employers
  • Be a subject specialist
  • Communicating internally with tutors to support an efficient and effective enrolment.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Support learners through a variety of methods to complete their programmes on time and to achieve
  • Record and measure against the learners intent for their programme
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure your caseload is fully up to date on Aptem
  • Embrace technology and change
  • Actively source new business by engaging with employers through various employer engagement methods. Ensuring continuous development of pipeline for new business.
  • Maintain and take ownership of your own CPD
  • Supporting the business to achieve at least a grade 2 Ofsted
  • Ensuring the business is not liable for any funding clawback due to lack of evidence / support
  • To develop and use knowledge to make informed decisions on the suitability of Apprenticeship candidates for the programmes being put forwards for.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven ability to work independently, under tight deadlines and make effective decisions
  • Broad knowledge, understanding of and ability to apply ESFA rules including Funding, Compliance and Quality.
  • Broad knowledge, understanding of and compliance for OFSTED regulations and inspection regimes
  • Demonstrable evidence of managing the end to end learning process from identifying the learning gap through to measuring the successful impact of a solution, including quantifying the qualitative and quantitative benefits of solutions for an organisation.
  • Experience and track record of success within a Compliance Management, Learning and Development environment.
